Russia have
been dumped out of the Olympic men's ice hockey tournament following a 3-1
defeat by Finland at the quarter-finals stage.
The home side took an eighth-minute lead through Ilya Kovalchuk.
But the Finns hit back with goals from Juhamatti Aaltonen, Teemu Selanne and Mikael Granlund to set up a semi-final against Nordic rivals Sweden.
Earlier, the Swedes defeated Slovenia 5-0, with favourites Canada set to play Latvia later on Wednesday.
USA could face their fellow North Americans in the last four if they beat Czech Republic in the other quarter-final.
